Weekend at White Lake
We spent the weekend at Whitehall with James' dad. The kids and all of us LOVE Duck Lake up there. It is a lake that has a small stream heading out to Lake Michigan and is PERFECT for kids. Even Alison got her toes wet!
"First Fruits" from our Garden
James built me two raised garden beds this spring and we planted many veggies to grow and enjoy this summer (provided James and I can keep them alive)! This past week we picked the very first item, BROCCOLI, and the kids were loving it!
Visiting Great Grandma Grooters
Alison has Great Grandma Grooters' name, Jeanne, as a middle name so it was very meaningful for James and I to introduce them : )

1 week Dr. Appt.
Alison also had a one week doctor's appointment on Monday where she weighed 6 lbs. 10 1/2 oz. (25th percentile) and was 19 3/4" long (50th percentile). Everything else checked out great as well : )

Alison comes home
We were THRILLED that Alison was doing well enough to unhook the monitors and send her home with me on Friday afternoon. She was breathing well and had eaten enough calories in the previous 24 hours that they released her to us...YEA!!! You can compare her coming home pics to Simon and Sierra HERE, think she looks like one of ours : ) ??

Alison and Acacia
Monica, my cousin who was born 3 days before me even though she was due a month after me, had a baby girl EXACTLY 12 hours (5:53am and 5:53pm) after me on Monday. She was also at Holland Hospital! So we got to visit a couple of times and talked the nurses into letting us get a pic of us together!
