Holy cow, Sierra stood up all by herself without holding onto anything this past weekend. James and I both saw her do it and were shocked. She looks so little standing up, and she is NOT allowed to walk yet : )

The Cousins
Simon did great at the doctor's office today. He weighed 29.6 lbs. which was around the 70th percentile and his height was 36 1/2 inches which was in the 90th percentile. He did a great job when she listened to his heart and lungs, checked his stomach, and looked in his eyes, nose, mouth, and ears. He even got a toy FROG at the end which he was very excited about until we lost it in the car on the way home. Ooops!

After nap time, then waiting for daddy to come home, it was finally time to open everything.
Starting SLOWLY...
The first is a remote control car......(which we should have saved until last because once this was opened all he wanted to do was get it out of the package and play with it.)

Sierra got to eat a few pieces of the paper, so she was thrilled : )
After presents, we went out to eat at Burger Kind (Simon's favorite are "Nuggies") and to the mall to ride the carousel, play in the treehouse, and we got ice cream. Simon loved the whole night and he still has another birthday party to go on Saturday!
Sierra had her 9 month doctors appt today (even though she is really almost 10 months). She weighed 17 lbs. 14 oz. and was 27 1/2 inches long. I forgot to get the percentiles, oops. Otherwise she is HEALTHY!
Sierra learned to climb our stairs yesterday. I was totally unprepared for it and shocked. I had quick run upstairs to hang up some clothes in Simon's room and was gone for about 1 minute and I came out of his room and Sierra was on STAIR THREE. I kind of freaked but didn't want to run down the stairs at her in case she freaked and backed up and fell down them all. She was fine and crawled up and down them all day? What Next?
We all had a great "harvest night". Grandpa and Grandma Grooters, Cousin Ben, and Grandma DeVries all came to visit the little pirate and ballerina. It was FUN!
