Sierra's 2 month appointment

Sierra weighed in at 9 pounds 13 ounces yesterday and was 21 inches long. She is growing like a little weed. She was in the 25th and 15th percentiles, respectively, for her age. Overall she is doing well and the doctor did not hear a heart murmur again so that is good news as well. YEAH! (oh, and for all of you following along with this story......she pooped all over the floor and me again today, LUCKY ME)

Sierra - 2 months

Sierra is doing great.....she has been smiling while looking at me this past week and has just generally been much more alert and aware of what is going on around her. She has also been sleeping these past few night about 4-6 hours at a time which is a big improvement for me. I also have another poop story about her to record here. We have a pack and play set up in our living room where I change her diapers at. I was doing that on Tuesday and at the moment I went to wipe her, POOP squirted everywhere. It literally went shooting out of her butt in about a 10 foot line which included my arm and shirt which were covered with it. It also meant there were about 100 little spots of poop all over the carpet and I even found them all over our dining room table and a chair. Then to gross you all out even further, Stewart decided to lick some of it up and eat it while I was cleaning one area and didn't seem him in the other. LOVELY HUH?

Simon - 16 months

Simon went to the doctor yesterday and is doing well. He weighed 24.6 lbs and was 32.75 inches tall, which puts him in about the 50th percentile for weight and the 85th for height. He is not saying many words, I can make out mama, dada, baby, and uh oh, but she said that was OK because right now he is just all boy and more into climbing, building, running and playing than learning words. She suggested we buy a DVD and teach him a little bit of sign language so he doesn't get so frustrated to not have words to use with us.

Cottage Fun

We stayed overnight in Whitehall with Grandpa and Grandma Grooters this weekend and had fun with the snow and a bit warmer temperatures.

Let's Play Dress Up

The knitted jacket, bonnet and booties are an outfit my mom, I and now Sierra all wore.

This little blue dress was one my mom had my picture taken in when I was three weeks old. Sierra looks exactly like that little picture of me so we had to try her out in the dress : )

Routine Bath?

This is the bath routine at our house lately: I bathe Sierra in the tub and then take her out and fill it up a bit more before Simon gets his bath. So today I was done with Sierra and starting to dry her off while filling up the tub more for Simon. He was playing around the tub and trying to reach the water coming out of the faucet with his fingers EXCEPT today the next thing I knew he was falling head first over the side of the tub. He went straight into the water with ALL of his clothes on. I laughed my head off; until I realized I had two kids screaming their heads off (Sierra was getting cold and Simon freaked himself out) What a day : )
