Back from NYC

WE are HOME again. NYC was a lot of fun and very HOT!!! 80's and 90's for a VERY pregnant woman walking everywhere around the city was interesting to say the least. We had a great time shopping, the WALK was AMAZING and they raised over a million dollars this year. THANK YOU to everyone who donated : )

Hanging out with Uncle Bretter

Singing

The kids have been totally into singing for quite a few months now. They break out into song anywhere and everywhere. I thought I should capture it a bit : )

Spring Break Catch-up...

We had a WONDERFUL spring break as a family. We started off by spending the first weekedn with James' dad and Marianne in Whitehall. We then took the kids to the Holland Aquatic Center again and they were even more brave this time. They are really getting comfortable in water and we are looking forward to this summer. We also took them to Crazy Bounce. The kids went before with my sister and brother but it was the first time for James and I. The blow-up slides are huge and the obstacle courses fun (or so I hear). James was a trooper and took the kids through everything countless times for 2 hours. I did manage 2 slides but thought at 7 months pregnant maybe they weren't the BEST idea : )
Then we spent the end of the week with my family (and a few more Tammingas) up in Traverse City. The weather was nice enough to play outdoors, we went swimming, and had a good time.
THE last Sunday (Easter Sunday) the kids were WHIPPED! They both fell asleep around 5:30 at night and slept forever. Simon slept for 15 HOURS that night : ) Now we are back to our normal routine and LOVING the warm weather.

Baby G#3 update

I am 29 weeks along and feeling quite pregnant. Although, I will still say this has been my easiest pregnancy by far, there are always the typical discomforts. She is very active and kicking all the time. The other two kiddos are excited for her to come out and play. Here is some info. that I got in my weekly pregnancy update email... Your baby is growing rapidly now. This week he weighs about 2 1/2 pounds (like a butternut squash) and is a tad over 15 inches long from head to heel. His muscles and lungs are continuing to mature, and his head is getting bigger to accommodate his growing brain — which is busy developing billions of neurons. Every day, about 200 milligrams of calcium is deposited in your baby's skeleton, which is now hardening. With this rapid growth, it's no surprise that your baby's nutritional needs reach their peak during this trimester. We also have a c-section scheduled for Thursday June 18, 2009. So that will be her birthday unless she decides to come early : )

Been awhile...here are a few pics
