SIMON

"I tried to be good.....but I got bored" Simon has been "ALL BOY" this week. He has been into everything and super hyper. He learned how to give a 'high-five' but now thinks it's OK to hit people anywhere. He runs around getting into one thing after another. He hits and kicks Sierra in between kisses. He eats bark outside....................I don't even what to think of what else. He is the cutest little kid ever...but holy cow, I think the terrible two's are here early : )

My Kids.....

I thought I could get a cute pic of Simon holding Sierra. When am I going to learn they don't want to pose for pics????

Cook Out

Sierra fell asleep in a folding chair. Simon helped daddy work his brand new grill! It has been so HOT this week.....Simon has spent a lot of time outside and playing in his pool.

SIERRA

Sierra rolled over from her tummy to her back for the first time today. She did it a couple of times this afternoon and then a few more times tonight. It really took me by surprise, she is growing so fast and learning new things everyday. We also took her for a check-up at the doctor today. He said he can still hear a bit of junk in her lungs so at this point we are continuing the breathing treatments. She is also going to remain on the Prevacid. He ordered a chest X-ray while we were there as well. He did not see any evidence of fluid in her lungs so that is a good thing. We also decided we are not going to do the Upper GI because of the stress it would cause Sierra and it wouldn't really cause us to do anything different than we are right now. She will go back for a check-up in a couple of weeks and hopefully everything will be cleared up at that point and we can just continue treating the reflux only.

Sierra is STILL sick!

Sierra went in for her 4 month appointment today. She unfortunately, is still sick. They are going to do an upper GI soon to check out her reflux. She also still has a cough and a wheeze. We are doing breathing treatments again with the nebulizer (for the next month) and also Prevacid (for the next 3 months). The doctor thinks that because she has the reflux her lungs can't heal all the way from the RSV and now the cold that she has. Pray for her lungs : ) On anther note, she is still growing like the little piggy she is. She was 23 inches long and weighed 12 pounds and 12 ounces.

CONGRATULATIONS EB!

My sister, Erin, graduated from Parsons in NYC with her masters degree in Lighting Design this past week. She also moved into her own apartment (11' x 30' - HUGE (after a 6' x 10' dorm room)). Good Luck in NY. We hope to visit soon : )

WEEK IN REVIEW

+ Sunday: we celebrated Mother's Day with Mom DeVries + Saturday we went to visit Great-Grandma Grooters. We also went to watch Grandpa Oosterhouse's baseball team, and celebrated Mother's Day with Mom Oosterhouse. +Friday, I wanted to take the kiddies downtown Holland for Tulip Time. I thought I might be able to get some cute pics of them by the tulips. What was I thinking. Simon was in no way going to sit still and smile for the camera with so many things going on around him. Oh well, these are the pics we got that day : )

+ Tuesday: Simon sprayed himself with Oust Air Sanitizing spray in the eye, fell out of his booster seat after eating lunch and went swimming in his pajamas later that night. WHAT a day : )
+Monday was a beautiful day. Simon got to swim in his new alligator pool for the first time this year and LOVED it.

Sierra's Dedication

Sierra's Dedication went great yesterday! James read our Covenant Statement to her. She wore a dress that my mom and I both wore for our baptisms.
